Hummer Air Valve Installation Instructions
To Install
1. Attach the CTI Line with the swivel nut to the air valve.
2. Remove the ―” X 20 Nyloc Nut from the Valve
3. Put the air valve in the valve hole and hold in place.
4. Place Stainless Washer on Inside of Wheel under the Nyloc Nut.
5. Hand tighten the ―” X 20 Nyloc Nut onto the air valve.
6. Put the 9/16” open- end wrench on the swivel nut.
7. Tighten the Nyloc nut with the Hand Ratchet and ū” socket while holding the swivel nut in place with open- end wrench.
8. Tighten the Nyloc nut until the O-ring on the air valve has been squeezed down to about ― or more of its width which means that you must tighten the nut down as far as possible, it’s designed to bottom out on the threads of the valve, so make sure it’s “tight”.
9. Once the Nyloc nut is tight, reverse the direction of the ratchet and hold that ratchet and Nyloc nut in place. Do Not Untighten the nut.
10. While holding the ―” X 20 Nyloc nut in place, use the 9/16” open-end wrench and the tubular steel line to simultaneously, un-tighten the swivel nut from the air valve.
11. When re-installing the CTI Line, hand tighten the swivel nut on to the air valve, and then tighten that nut with a maximum of about 1/32 to 1/16 of a turn.
12. DO NOT over-tighten the swivel nut, it is not necessary as it is very likely that a hand tight swivel nut will hold air pressure, but would not necessarily stay tight, so it must be slightly tightened as suggested above.
