BMW 740i/iL Trunk Shock Replacement Procedure

BMW 740i/iL Trunk Shock Replacement Procedure

Vehicle: 1997 740iL, however, I think this applies to all 95-01.
Symptom: trunk may not stay fully open or may free fall when closing. In my case, the trunk would free fall closed and unless I was holding it carefully, it would slam shut.
The procedure took only about 30 minutes and was very easy. The outcome was excellent making the project well worth it and highly recommended.

Procedure:
1. It is best to remove and replace one shock and then move to the other side. Without any shock the trunk will easily fall on your head. To be safe, you may want to prop the trunk lid so it cannot fall on your head. When I had one shock removed, the wind did blow the lid down on my head!
2. Begin with the driver side shock. I recommend this because it is slightly easier since the wiring/harness does not come into play.
3. First, remove the c-clip of the upper mount, but do not disconnect the shock from the pivot mount yet. Here is picture with c-clip already removed. Another tip, I suggest replacing since cheap, but regardless, when you attempt to remove try to cover the clip with a rag so it doesn’t go flying. Mine disappeared out in the yard somewhere.
4. The next step is to remove the lower mounting clip. This is accomplished by using a screwdriver to push the clip downward and off the shock.
5. Now the driver side shock can be removed. Simply pull the lower part straight out and pull the upper mount off the pivot shaft. Again, be careful here that the trunk stays up and not on your skull.
6. Next install the new drivers side trunk shock. But first clean off the upper mount shaft and the lower ball joint. It really isn’t necessary to grease these connections because the new shock comes with grease already in the part.

Connect the black (negative) clamp to a good ground. A good ground can be located by following the negative cable from the battery to where it is connected to the chassis.
5. Remove master cylinder cover and inspect the master cylinder for damage. Repair any damage found before continuing.
6. Turn on EMPTY MASTER CYLINDER switch and use the Vacuum Hose to remove all of the fluid from the master cylinder.
7. Turn off EMPTY MASTER CYLINDER switch when master cylinder is empty and return Vacuum Hose to Parking Stud.
Note: Failure to park Vacuum Hose on Parking Stud will result in minimum to no vacuum at bleeder hoses.
8. Connect Fill Gun to Fill Hose. Turn on FILL MASTER CYLINDER switch and squeeze trigger on Fill Gun to dispense fluid until master cylinder level is at the fill/max mark. Turn off FILL MASTER CYLINDER and disconnect Fill Gun from the Fill Hose.

BMW MINI Quick Fit Rallye 4 Harnessbelts Installation & Operating Instructions

BMW MINI Quick Fit Rallye 4 Harnessbelts Installation & Operating Instructions

This SCHROTH asm harnessbelt is only suitable for adults on front outboard seating positions. SCHROTH asm harnessbelts are not intended or suited for use by children under 12 years of age, or persons who weigh less than 88 lbs (40 kg) or those who are less than 4′11″ tall (1.50 meters), regardless of age. Such persons will not be adequately protected by the harness system and may receive more severe injury than would otherwise be expected.

SCHROTH U.S. model harnessbelts have been tested in accordance with performance parameters of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 209 with the exception of Paragraph S 4.6 (full scale impact testing as described in FMVSS 208). FMVSS 209 deals with lap and three point restraints and does not expressly refer to harness belts. SCHROTH has nevertheless applied the performance criteria specified in FMVSS 209 to the system to the extent applicable.

Always leave original equipment seat belts in place and available for use. We strongly recommend that you leave in place all MINI factory provided 3-point restraint systems originally supplied for the front and rear seating positions of your vehicle when you install the SCHROTH asm harnessbelt. Removal of original equipment restraint systems may also violate applicable State or Federal law.

To carry rear seat passengers, you must use your standard 3-point factory provided front seat belts. To use the factory installed seat belts after a SCHROTH MINI Rallye 4 belt has been installed you must first release (un-clip) all four points of the SCHROTH belt and remove it.

Leaving original equipment restraint systems in place and fully functional will enable you to choose either the SCHROTH Rallye 4 OR the vehicle’s standard seat belts when it is necessary to transport passengers in any of the rear seats or when either harness belt is not suited for use by the driver or front seat passenger.

Hard To Start Suzuki Marauder 800

Hard To Start Suzuki Marauder 800

This FAQ deals with the electrical problems that can be present in a hard-to-start Suzuki Marauder VZ800. This does not address all the problems that may be present with a non-starting Marauder. It requires a certain number of tools to troubleshoot a slow or non-starting bike. Among them are a multi-meter, jumper wires and a can of contact cleaner. Contact cleaners are generally flammable. Do not get the contact cleaner on your paint or on your skin. Clean connectors before putting them back together.

1. Battery. Make sure it is fully charged. A 12-volt battery that is in good condition and fully charged will indicate about 12.2 to 12.6 volts with everything turned off. If you have any question about the status of your battery, get it load tested. Your battery terminals should be clean, dry and tight. Now turn the key ON but do not start the engine. The battery voltage should still be about 12.2 volts. If the voltage drops sharply when the key is turned on, suspect a bad or inadequately charged battery. [ If your battery is not charging properly, see the Marauder charging system FAQ ]

2. OK. Battery is in good shape and charged. Remove the LH side cover on your bike. You will see a funky looking green plastic cover over a small black box. This is your starter relay. Pull back the funky cover. See those 2 big red wires? CAUTION: DIRECT LIVE BATTERY POWER IS AVAILABLE AT THE RH (LOOKING FORWARD) TERMINAL! Make sure the transmission is in neutral. Double check that it is in neutral. If it is not, your bike will take off on it is own, possibly coming off the kickstand, falling, damaging your bike or injuring you. Just make sure it is in neutral, OK? With the key turned on, use a heavy gauge wire (14 or bigger) or a large tool like a screwdriver or allen wrench and carefully short across the two large terminals that the red wires are connected to. You will see some sparks and hear a loud click. The starter should engage and the engine should turn over. If it spins over nicely, go to #5. If nothing happens, or the engine still turns over very slowly, go to #3.

Magnum’s HID H3 Fog Light Install

Magnum’s HID H3 Fog Light Install

I decided to install HID’s in place of standard halogen bulbs for a little more light and I guess exterior looks. I won’t be able to see them much so I hope you other driver’s like them. Here’s the kit, a standard 35 watt HID nothing fancy conversion kit. The only extra I bought where some load resistor to clear up any “check fog light” errors I may receive.

Tools? Pretty easy stuff really, below if what I used. Your mileage may vary depending on how you plan on installing them. Here’s what I used:
- Screw driver
- Digital Multi-meter
- Drill with 7/8” boring bit
- 8 mm & 10 mm sockets
- T-50 Torx Bit for bumper cover bolts.
- Socket Wrench
- Silicone
- Heat Shrink
- Heat Gun
- Solder Iron & Solder
- HID conversion kit
- 2 load resistors
Let start by removing the fog light, insert your screw driver as shown and push in to release fog light. Have your other hand in front of the fog light because it may “pop” out.

Once fog light is out remove the main plug as shown:
Now you can move it to the work bench or where ever you plan to work on them. I first tested the lights and ballast so these pics are taken on a box. Release the fog light[s] back cover as shown:

Rear:
1. Raise and properly support back of car. I used a long metal bar that I had which reached across from one of the lower A-arms to the other and jacked up in the middle. I then put jack stands under the rear jacking points using jacking pucks.
2. Remove wheels
3. On the passenger’s side of the car you will need to remove the brake pipe bracket so that the suspension can be lowered. It is attached by 2 10mm nuts.
4. Support the lower control arm using a jack and remove the lower shock mounting bolt (21mm). Lower the jack and put it under the cradle.
5. Remove the 2 cradle to body mounting bolts and washers. The Front is 24mm and the rear is 21mm.
6. Low the cradle enough to remove the coil spring
7. Remove the rear seat by pushing rearward and pulling up on the front of the seat bottom on both the drivers and passengers side of the car. The seat bottom can then be removed from the car. There are 4 nuts that need to be removed from the bottom of the seat back inside the car and 4 nuts that need to be removed from the top of the seat back in the trunk.
8. Lift the sound proofing to expose the top shock mount nuts and remove the 2 outer nuts which will allow you to remove the shock.
9. After removing the shock from the car disassemble the top of the shock by removing the remaining nut.
10. Assemble the top of the shock per the GC sketch adding the new parts.

Before you make all your wire connections and connect the additional items please review the Option Programming Tables and the descriptions at the end of this manual. CONNECTOR 1 (CN1)

Pin 1 Red - Constant 12-volt (+) positive power input for the control module. This wire must be connected to a constant 12-volt (+) positive source. The proper wire will test 12-volt (+) positive with the key in the off position, while key is in the on position and during crank.

Pin 2 Green/White - This is a dual purpose wire that is selectable thru the trunk/light jumper on the control module. The jumper position will dictate the output of this wire. Parking light - Parking light (+) positive output. Connect this wire to the (+) positive parking light wire generally at the parking light switch or behind the fuse box. The proper wire will test 12-volts (+) positive when the parking light switch is in the on position. Trunk release - This wire will test 12-volts (+) positive when the trunk release is triggered.

Pin 3 Red/White - Constant 12-volt (+) positive power input for the starter and accessory on-board relays. This wire must be connected to a constant 12-volt (+) positive source. The proper wire will test 12-volts (+) positive with the key in the off position, while the key is in the on position and during crank. This pin also has a red/white wire that is prewired to a relay. The relay also has a short violet wire on pin 85. Bmw racing performance front strut bar One piece installation instructions

Bmw racing performance front strut bar One piece installation instructions

BMW has manufactured thousands of these cars and they are not all the same. This is called manufacturers tolerance. With age the chassis strut towers migrate/change location after years of use. In some cases this can cause assembly problems for the front strut installers. The 3 piece adjustable strut bars are easier to install but not as rigid or structurally sound.

Put the car on a flat surface, set rear brake, chock rear wheels, and remove front strut top nuts, 13 mm. 3 pieces on both sides. Attempt to install bar over studs, sometimes it will slide over with no problems. Because the front towers are inclined in 2 planes of angularity-to achieve caster-camber settings- the studs are at different angles in respect to each other. To make the bar fitting easier- jack up the front chassis so one side of the studs will be flush with shock tower- loosely attach opposite side bar and nuts, then carefully lower car so other side studs will raise up through bar holes into proper location. Finish by removing jack and tightening all stud nuts. I recommend using anti-seize on stud threads

BMW RACING PERFORMANCE REAR SHOCK TOWER STRUT BAR INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
This bar was intentionally made to have a snug fit; this is customary for race car chassis components. In cars with high mileage or cars that have been in an accident the shock towers may be closer together than normal. This can cause high spots which can cause fitting interference.

The bar can only fit one way, meaning, that the left hand shock tower has a different shape than the right shock tower. On E30 chassis the left hand tower, which is the driver side, appears to have less curvature than the right and also has two (2) bent comers at the top of the side skirt, also the right hand appears to have more curvature and appears to be more rounded.
On E36 chassis the right hand tower has less curvature and the left hand tower has more noticeable curvature. In cars with carpeting we recommend a vertical cut made with a razor blade, approximately 3″ top to bottom, where the stress bar horizontal tube will come through or the carpet can be removed and reinstalled after installation of bar.

2006-2007 BMW K1200GT Installation Instructions

2006-2007 BMW K1200GT Installation Instructions

Repositions the stock handlebars 1” (25mm) closer to the rider from their tallest adjusted position. No height adjustments are possible with the HR adapter as it maintains the tallest bar position. Heli Bars are designed to safely increase your riding comfort, however it is imperative that these instructions be followed to ensure correct installation. Failure to follow these instructions could result in improper installation and create a dangerous control situation.

NOTE: It would be beneficial to take several digital photos as reference. Disassembly of the stock bar component and installation of the Tour Performance HR adapters require torque bits, a 6mm hex drive and a 13mm socket or wrench to remove safety nuts.
1) Place a soft towel or large clean shop rag over the fuel tank Remove the plastic cover on the rear of the handlebar casting that covers the adjustment hardware. (See photo 1).
2) Remove the two 13mm hex safety nuts (see photo 2). None of the stock hardware except the two washers will be reused.
3) Remove the two wire loom clamps located on the outside of the bar castings below the master cylinders. This allows extra slack in the control housing wire looms to ease installation of the HR adapters. (Photo 3).
4) Loosen the two screws located above the ignition switch that allows adjustability of the stock bars and remove with washers. The bars are heavy so be ready to gently lay them down on the fuel tank. Note that you will be dissembling several adjustment components. In order from the fuel tank side there will be: 1 tee nut, 1 flat omega strap, 1 spring from each side, and from the front side the safety torque head screws and washers. The washers will be reused but not the screws. Refer to photo 2 for component clarity.
5) Place the Tour Performance HR Adapters lower square bosses with the single threaded holes into the lower handle bar factory mount. The Tour Performance logo will be visible and can be read from the front of the machine. The adapter will only fit one way. Use two of the M8 socket head screws provided and the two factory washers removed earlier and reinsert as per the original setup. Torque both M8 screws to 12ft lbs. (Refer to photo 4)

BMW R1150GS Jumper Post Installation

BMW R1150GS Jumper Post Installation

In 2004 BMW started shipping the GS Adventurer with a feature that enabled the bike to be jumpstarted via a post attached directly to the starter. Prior to that you would have to remove the seat and try to access the battery which is located under the gas tank. Adding this feature to your bike is not that difficult and costs less than $30 in parts. The whole installation should take less than an hour with the majority of the time being spent locating and drilling the hole for the positive post in the starter cover.

• Start by removing the only screw that holds the starter cover and removing the cover to expose the starter
• Once the starter cover has been removed you will be able to access the only nut that you have to remove. It should be the upper nut but you should place a volt meter on it just to verify
• Place the bracket on the bolt so that its locking tab locks it into position….

When unpacking the supercharger kit DO NOT lift the supercharger assembly by the black plastic bypass actuator. This is pre-set from the factory and can be altered if used as a lifting point!

Caution: Relieve the fuel system pressure before servicing fuel system components in order to reduce the risk of fire and personal injury. After relieving the system pressure, a small amount of fuel may be released when servicing the fuel lines or connections. In order to reduce the risk of personal injury, cover the regulator and fuel line fittings with a shop towel before disconnecting. This will catch any fuel that may leak out. Place the towel in an approved container when the job is complete. Use only premium fuel, 91 octane or better.

Magna Charger systems are manufactured to produce about 20 RWHP per pound of boost at sea level. High altitudes will produce different numbers. Our Magna Charger kits are designed for engines in good mechanical condition only. Installation on high mileage or damaged engines is not recommended and may result in engine failure, for which we are not responsible. Magna Charger is not responsible for the engine or consequential damages.

Aftermarket engine recalibration devices that modify fuel and spark curve (including, but not limited to programmers) are not recommended and may cause engine damage or failure. Use of non-Magna Charger approved programming will void all warranties. If you have any questions, call us. Neo Ion Instruction Manual

Neo Ion Instruction Manual

Since the Neo iON works in many different vehicles the following steps must be taken to ensure the iON is set up correctly for the vehicle it is being installed in.
Before Installation
To prevent damage to your vehicle and the iON take the following precautions.
1. Turn off the ignition and remove the negative (-) battery cable prior to installation.
NOTE: If the vehicle is equipped with an on-board drive or navigation computer, do not disconnect the battery cable. If the battery cable is disconnected, the computer memory may be lost. Under these conditions, use extra caution to avoid causing a short circuit during installation. If your radio has a security code make sure you know the code and how to enter it prior to removing the battery cable. The radio will require this code to operate when the battery terminal is reconnected.

2. Do not install the unit in the following locations:
A. Locations exposed to direct sunlight
B. Locations where hot air flows from the cars heater

First Step (For All Vehicles)
The first and most important step in using the Neo iON is setting the dip-switches on the black box; this makes the iON compatible with the vehicle it is being installed in.

The iON will not work if this step is not followed correctly.
The dip switches can be found on the side of the black plastic box which connects to the iON. Switches are in the “ON” position when they are switched down. Black box settings for each vehicle can be found on the vehicles installation page. Refer to the index to find the page number within this manual that covers your vehicle.

AviStart 3000 Installation Guide

AviStart 3000 Installation Guide

The starter wire provides 12V directly to the starter or to a relay controlling starter. In some vehicles, it is necessary to power a cold start circuit. A cold start circuit will test exactly like a starter circuit, but it does not control the starter. Instead, the cold start circuit is used to prime the fuel injection system for starting when the vehicle is cold.

How to find the starter wire with your multimeter:
1. Set to DCV or DC voltage (12V or 20V is fine).
2. Attach the (-) probe of the meter to chassis ground.
3. Probe the wire you suspect of being the starter wire. The steering column is an excellent place to find this wire. Remember you do not need to interrupt the starter at the same point you test it. Hiding your starter kill relay and connections is always recommended.
4. Turn the ignition key switch to the start position. Make sure the car is not in gear! If your meter reads (+)12V, go to the next step. If it doesn’t, probe another wire.
5. Cut the wire you suspect of being the starter wire.
6. Attempt to start the car. If the starter engages, reconnect it and go back to Step 3. If the starter does not turn over, you have the right wire.

The ignition wire is powered when the key is in the run or start position. This is because the ignition wire powers the ignition system (spark plugs, coil) as well as the fuel delivery system (fuel pump, fuel injection computer). Accessory wires lose power when the key is in the start position to make more current available to the starter motor.

8900 Motorcycle Shocks Technical Manual

8900 Motorcycle Shocks Technical Manual

Your new Penske Racing Shock comes pre-adjusted at baseline settings. However, you must check your rear sag before you race! This is very important for optimum performance.

Setting the Sag*
STEP 1
1) Without a rider on the bike, have an assistant lift the rear of the motorcycle until the rear wheel is off the ground slightly.
2) Using a tape measure, measure the distance between the axle center line and a convenient location on the rear subframe (Figure 1).
3) Record this measurement as “A”.

STEP 2
1) This step requires the rider and two additional people.
2) One person should hold the front of the motorcycle, straddling the front tire.
3) Have the rider, wearing all of their gear, sit on the bike in a tuck position.
4) The third person should then measure the distance between the axle center line and a convenient location on the rear subframe (same locations used in Step 1).
5) Record this measurement as “B”.

STEP 3
1) Subtract “B” from “A”. This number is your sag.
The amount of sag required varies from rider to rider and from track to track.
The sag should be between 7/8″ and 1 1/6″.
If the sag is greater than 1 1/6″, preload the spring by turning the adjustable spring collar.
If the sag is less than 7/8″, remove preload by turning the adjustable spring collar.

AviStart 3200 Installation Guide

AviStart 3200 Installation Guide

This product is designed for fuel-injected, automatic transmission vehicles only.
Installing it in a standard transmission vehicle is dangerous and is contrary to its intended use.
- Please read this entire installation guide before beginning the installation. The installation of this remote start system requires interfacing with many of the vehicle’s systems. Many new vehicles use low-voltage or multiplexed systems that can be damaged by low resistance testing devices, such as test lights and logic probes (computer safe test lights). Test all circuits with a high quality digital multi-meter before making connections.
- Do not disconnect the battery if the vehicle has an anti-theft-coded radio. If equipped with an air bag, avoid disconnecting the battery if possible. Many airbag systems will display a diagnostic code through their warning lights after they lose power. Disconnecting the battery requires this code to be erased, which can require a trip to the dealer.
- Check with the customer on status LED location.
- Remove the domelight fuse. This prevents accidentally draining the battery.
- Roll down a window to avoid being locked out of the car.

To test for a tachometer wire, a multimeter capable of testing AC voltage must be used. The tachometer wire will show between 1V and 6V AC. In multi-coil ignition systems, the system can learn individual coil wires. Individual coil wires in a multi-coil ignition system will register lower amounts of AC voltage. Also, if necessary, the system can use a fuel injector control wire for engine speed sensing.
Common locations for a tachometer wire are the ignition coil itself, the back of the gauges, engine computers, and automatic transmission computers.
IMPORTANT! Do not test tachometer wires using a test light or logic probe! This will damage the vehicle.

2007 MasterCraft Owners Manual

2007 MasterCraft Owners Manual

This manual has been developed to help ensure an enjoyable experience as you boat, wakeboard and ski with your MasterCraft boat. As stated earlier, this information is not all-inclusive. There are many other factors to consider and additional information that you need to research before undertaking any boating.

Beyond the study involved, you should also always use common sense when boating. For example, when an- choring your boat so that you can enjoy swimming, you MUST turn the engine OFF. Exhaust fumes are emitted from the exhaust flap area of the transom, immediately below the swim platform. No one should ever be on the swim platform or transom.

MasterCraft also strongly encourages individuals to wear Personal Flotation Devices (PFDs). In many states, it is a legal requirement for children to wear them. Xenon Conversion Kit Installation Guide

Congratulations on your new EXeS Digital HID Conversion Kit! Please abide by your local transportation laws as this kit is intended for off road or show use purposes only. Please take your time in reading this guide as it will assist you in the installation process. Please pay attention to the exclamation marks as they have been added to alert you in an important part of the installation process and it is necessary to pay close attention to the notes following an exclamation mark.

NOTE: Some vehicles need special adapters, connectors, modules or harnesses.
It is up to the buyer to make sure that they have everything needed for their vehicle. BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Dodge/Chrysler and Volkswagen are only a few that may need special installation materials. Vehicles with DRL for the beam that HID will be installed on will need a direct power source like a relay harness with a sold chassis ground. Even the input on the relay harness negative should be grounded to the chassis or battery negative.

Pre‐Installation Instructions:
Disconnect battery prior to installation.
Before final installation pre‐test all the components. Ensure compatibility by plugging in all the wires and turning the system on (refer to the diagrams on page 4).
If you experience any problems, refer to our FAQ in the end of this guide.

( DRL ) Daytime Running Lights:
When checking for DRL issues remember to turn the vehicle on (do in a well ventilated area): For manual transmissions, be sure to release the parking brake. For automatic transmission remember to put the vehicle in first gear because this activates the DRL. (Keep your foot on the brake at all times) Resume testing.

If the bulb flickers during the test then turn them off immediately. Continued use will damage the bulb. Disable the day time running light system by removing the DRL relay or DRL fuse. Some vehicles you cannot disable the DRL and you will require a DRL relay harness. Contact your seller for details.
If you require a BMW harness, please be aware that they are polarity sensitive.

The T-Harness is an optional accessory designed to cut the install time of the remote starter by 50% or more. Each T-Harness is manufactured specifically for your vehicle. The T-Harness will eliminate any wire splicing needed to make the remote starter operational. The T-Harness will plug in between the vehicles ignition switch then directly to the remote starter control module.

Note: When using a T-harness the following wires must be hooked up from the sixteen pin harness.
1. Black Wire (ground)
2. Blue with Black Stripe Wire (brake input)
Additional Note: Vehicles with an anti-theft system will also require a bypass module. (Part#791)

To operate your test probe, connect the BLACK clip to a good chassis ground. Connect the RED clip to a good 12V positive source. If you cannot locate a 12V positive source, it will be necessary to first use the test probe with just the BLACK clip to a good chassis ground, then probe the ignition harness for the 12V positive source. Make sure the key is out of the ignition switch prior to probing these wires. If the RED light on the test probe illuminates, this is a 12V positive source. Strip this wire back and then clip the RED clip to this wire. When the test probe is connected correctly, both the RED and the GREEN lights will be dimly illuminated. If a positive source is probed, the RED light will glow brightly and the GREEN light will go out. If a negative, or ground, source is probed, the GREEN light will glow brightly and the RED light will go out.

Cadillac Fleetwood 85-93 Radio Install

Parts Needed For This Radio Install Parts REQUIRED for the install Description Dash installation kit Multi purpose General Motors Snap on in dash wire harness General Motors 1978 - 1988 You will need one antenna extension cable. Typical lengths: 6”, 1 ft, 3 ft 4 small washers

TOOL TIPS:
Small Battery: use a battery to test speaker wires. Touching the (+) positive and (-) negative baterry leads to a pair of speaker will cause the speaker to make a “Pop” sound indicating that pair of wires goes to that speaker. Voltage Meter: Always check +12 Volt power wires for voltage before making wire connections. These wires will fluctuate between 10 and 14 Volts. Solder Iron or Crimp Tool: make wire to wire connections using either a solder iron and electrical tape, OR plastic crimp terminals found at most hardware or auto parts stores.

STEP 1:
Locate and remove two (2) phillips screws that secure the top of the plastic panel that surrounds the radio. The plastic dash panel will pull off once the screws are removed as shown in the photo above.
STEP 2:
The front of the radio is held in with two (2) 7mm bolt screws at the top of the radio. Remove the 2 bolt screws.
STEP 3:
There is a hidden radio that secures the rear of the radio and is located under the radio. Pull the ashtray to its extended position. You will need to lay on your back or side and look behind the ashtray, up to the bottom of the radio.
STEP 4:
Once the ashtray has been pull to its extended position, you should be able to locate and remove one (1) 7mm bolt screw as seen in the photo above.
STEP 5:
Once all screws have been removed, the radio can then be removed. Pull firmly on the radio to remove it from the dash. The radio will most likely resist pulling from the dash. The antenna cable which plugs into the rear of the radio is very short and gives the radio resistance when trying to pull the radio out of the dash. Continue to pull firmly and the antenna cable will unplug itself as the radio is pulled from the dash.
