FM Professional 8 User Manual
There are plenty of new features in this release to support new hardware products and functionality. New Fleet Manager supported hardware products are the USB Download Module, FM Wireless Kit (802.11b WLAN modem), CAN interface, Datcom and FM300 on-board computers.
Additional support for third-party hardware products such as the Euroscan and Transcan temperature recorders, Kienzle System Mifare Cardreader, Kimax axle load sensors, fuel monitoring sensors, and GSM based tracking. Furthermore there are several new software features such as Role-based Security, Customised Views, Vehicle status indicator, Communication link- status, Active locations, Active commands to control OBC output drives and additional Communication Cost Control options.

FM300 Communicator and FM300 ComLink-GSM
The exciting new cost-effective FM300 range of on-board computers have all the functionality of the FM200 Plus family in addition to being more compact and the ability to switch itself off and wake-up on ignition.
USB Download Module
Fleet Manager Professional now has full support for the new USB Download Module. Utilities such as the FM Dealer Utility and the FM AutoPoll Client have been enhanced to natively support the USB Download Module.
Euroscan and Transcan Temperature Recorders
These devices are used to monitor and record the temperature profile of up to 4 refrigerated compartments in a vehicle. With Fleet Manager the temperature recorder is configured as a device connected to the S3 serial interface, enabling users to define events based on temperature, digital inputs and alarm statuses from the temperature recorder.
Role-based Security
A role-based security model is integrated into FM Professional, allowing administrators to control user access to specific functions.
Customised Views
Fleet Manager Professional 8.3 supports customised views. These views adapt the application to suit the needs of vertical markets, by hiding/showing applicable menus, tool buttons, shortcuts etc. Each vertical market “application” will have specific graphics and language files to support market-related jargon
