1992-1998 Suburban/Tahoe/Yukon 3″ Body Lift Kit
1. Remove positive and negative battery cables. If equipped, the Supplemental Restraint System will be deactivated when the battery is disconnected.
2. Note the location of the front and rear bumpers in relation to the front/rear of the vehicle for use in alignment during installation.
gRill Removal
3. Remove the four screws holding each of the turn signal lamps to the grill. Remove the turn signal lamps from the grill and disconnect the bulb from the lamp housing. Retain screws.
4. Locate the grill mounting screws along the top of the core support and in the middle of the grill face (typically a total of 5 screws). Remove all of the mounting screws. Retain screws.
5. There are retaining tabs along the bottom of the grill the snap into the filler panel located between the grill and the front bumper (typically 3 total). The outside clips can be accessed through the turn signal opening. Pull up on the tab and out on the grill to release. The middle clip can be released by sliding a narrow screw driver, putty knife, etc between the center of the grill and the filler panel (Fig - Tab Locations).
6. Pull the grill free from the vehicle (remove any additional wires necessary).
7. Remove the screws (typically 5) mounting the filler panel to the core support and remove the filler panel from the vehicle. Retain screws.
