1997-2000 F250 Light Duty Pickup Bracketron Phone Mount Installation Instructions
When installing in a vehicle with an Auto Climate Control you will not be drilling or using the included screws. See step (3). When re-installing the auto climate control unit in the cavity you will need to apply some downward pressure on the unit so the centering pins and four factory screw holes will line up. Install the four (4) screws that secure the auto climate control then tighten. The mount will be nice and tight.
Grasp the bezel that surrounds the radio and climate control in the upper right corner and carefully pull toward you to release the first of five (5) clips that secure the bezel in place. Continue working the bezel loose releasing the remaining four (4) clips, two (2) on the left and two (2) on the right. When the bezel is loose, disconnect the wiring to the left of the climate control only. Let the rest of the bezel hang, or prop it out of the way to gain access to the radio and climate control.
Locate four (4) holes in the face of the radio. Insert the (Ford Radio Removal DIN Tools) into the holes and pull outward while at the same time pulling the radio out of its cavity. Disconnect the wiring too the radio and place the radio in a safe place. Locate and remove the four (4) screws that hold the climate control in place. Slide the climate control out of its cavity and prop it up to the right to keep all the wiring and vacuum lines out of the way.
Place the Bezel Mount in the cavity of the climate control. Make sure the hole on the Bezel Mount is aligned with the lower left screw hole that secures the climate control in place. In the two (2) remaining holes on the Bezel Mount, use the marking pen to mark two spots for drilling pilot holes. Remove the Bevel Mount and set it aside. Carefully drill two pilot holes with the 5/64” drill bit and drill. Place the Bezel Mount back into place, insert the provided screws and tighten with the #2 Phillips screwdriver. Place the climate control back into its cavity. Insert the four (4) holes that secure it in place and tighten.
