Ford F-150 Bed Extender Bracket Installation
F-150 QUICK LATCH MOUNTING BRACKET INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1. Remove contents from box and check for damage. Verify all parts against parts list. Read and understand instructions completely before installation.
Step 2. Assemble brackets as shown in Figure 1.
Step 3. With lever towards the tailgate side insert lower hold-down bracket through lower hole on d-pillar.
Step 4. Insert upper hold-down bracket in upper hole of d-pillar.
Step 5. Tighten bolts until approximately ½ of thread is left.
Step 6. Center tabs on upper hold-down bracket in hole on d-pillar and tighten bolt while pulling outward to hold tabs in place.
Step 7. Repeat for lower mounting bracket.
Step 8. Check for interference with tailgate closed (Lever should be within 1/8 to 3/8 of tailgate).
Step 9. Torque bolts to 90 in-lbs (7.5 ft-lbs).
Step 10. Repeat steps 3-9 for other side.
Step 11. Slide Bed Extender into brackets until it locks into place.
Step 12. To remove extender either pull lever and pull upward on extender or rotate the extender 90° and then pull up on extender.
