Installation of MBRP Inc. Performance Exhaust:
Install down-pipe, flare side to turbo using stock band clamp. Do not fully tighten until all components are in place. Install the Mid-pipe using the pre-welded hanger into the OEM rubber hanger located on the frame. Install extension pipe over the down-pipe, included is an 34″ extension to accommodate each wheelbase. (Installation tip: Temporarily hang the muffler and tail pipe in place using the two OEM rubber hangers and measure to the mid-pipe to determine the length needed, cut if necessary)
Install muffler over the extension(s), the muffler core can flow either direction. If you install the core with the spiral openings towards the flow it will be quieter out the tailpipe and approx ½ db louder inside the cab. If you install the muffler with the core opening facing the rear of the truck it will be approx. ½ db quieter inside the cab and allow the sound to exit out the tailpipe.
