S/R Cylinder Heads Iron 2.9L V6 Ford Specifications and Instructions
These heads are a direct 50 state legal replacement cylinder heads for 1986 to 1992 2.9 liter V6 Ford engines that use Ford cylinder head part number part number 6090CAJ.
CARB Exemption: This product is certified as 50 State Legal under E.O. # D-343. The included exemption sticker MUST by law be placed next to your vehicle’s emission sticker.
Before Final Assembly:
1. Please inspect castings for defects or damage prior to modification, assembly or installation. Cylinder heads that have been modified, installed or used ARE NOT RETURNABLE.
2. Refer to the factory service manual for proper torque specifications and assembly and disassembly procedures. Brackets and Accessories:
1. All accessory bolt holes on the World S/R 2.9 heads are 10 mm. Some factory brackets may have 8 mm bolt holes and will need to be enlarged to a 10 mm hole. The dimensions for the new bolts are as follows: Top Alternator bolt is 10 mm x 1.5 thread and 40 mm long. Bottom Alternator bolt is 10 mm x 1.5 thread and 65 mm long. A/c bolt is 10 mm x 1.5 thread and 30 mm long.
2. Consult the factory service manual for specific issues regarding thermostat replacement.
