Ford Falcon Hard Tonneau Cover Fitting Instructions
This product should be fitted by experienced people.
Be sure you read fitting instructions carefully and completely before fitting ute lid to vehicle.
1. Remove all packaging from ute lid.
2. With assistance - carefully place ute lid onto ute tub body, ensuring lid is sitting correctly with even gaps all around.
3. At the front of the lid, mark a line onto the tub liner on each side of both lid hinges.
4. Remove ute lid from vehicle.
5. Place the slotted hinges (1) flush with the body- between the lines you marked (2) and attach both hinges to body using self drilling screws supplied.
6. On the top inside edge of tub, measure 880mm back, then 60mm down and mark position. This mark is the position for the ball on the strut bracket. Attach gas strut bracket with self drilling screws provided. Repeat for opposite side.
7. Attach thinner shaft end of struts onto strut brackets.
8. On the ute lid, attach strut brackets - using screws already fitted onto ute lid.
NOTE; strut brackets may be already attached
9. With assistance - carefully lift ute lid to almost vertical position and mate up hinge tongues on lid with hinge slots on body-sliding tongues into slots.
NOTE: ensure tongues are fully inserted into slots before lowering or damage will result.
Lower lid slightly and attach struts to strut brackets on lid.
