Installation instructions for the 2003 Honda Civic
- Set the parking brake and place the shifter into the drive position. Using the Dash Trim tool, pry upward to remove the inner bezel that surrounds the shifter. Remove the 2nd bezel. This bezel has a total of nine (9) clips around the edges holding it in place. Locate and remove the two (2) Phillips screws at the front of the shifter.
- Remove the cigarette lighter that extends past the shifter and on both the left and right sides. Use the Dash Trim tool and start on the left side releasing three clips, do the same on the right side releasing 3 more clips. Grasp the bezel and carefully pull toward you releasing a total of four clips. Use the Dash Trim tool to assist releasing the four clips. Once loose, remove all the wiring and set the bezel aside.
- Look inside the opening and locate and remove two (2) 8mm hex-head screws. These screws hold the radio in place. Set the screws aside. Use the Dash Trim tool to release the nine (9) clips that hold the radio trim bezel in place. Note: These clips are very tight. Start in the upper right corner and work the clips loose all the way around. Disconnect the wiring to the radio and set it aside.
- Insert the CBM just above the second from bottom clip hole. Use a marking pen and the holes in the CBM as a guide to mark two (2) spots for pilot holes. Set the CBM aside. Carefully drill two holes with the 5/64” drill bit and hand drill. Place the CBM over the pilot holes, insert the provided screws and tighten the mount down.
- Carefully reinstall the dash in reverse order securing all clips, screws and wiring. Install any Bracketron phone holder or Amps compatible device to your Bezel Mount. Your installation is complete.
